What this site is

You the Winner provides general information, self-help tools, and (when your family chooses it) a custom personal site for a loved one with a disability or other support needs. By using this site or its tools, you agree to these terms.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice, and none of it replaces guidance from a qualified doctor, attorney, benefits counselor, therapist, or other licensed professional. Information about SSI, Medicaid, ABLE accounts, guardianship, IEPs, and similar topics is general and educational. Rules vary by state and change over time; always confirm your specific situation with the relevant agency or a professional before making a decision.

No guarantee of outcomes

Our tools (like the Benefits Screener, Transition Checklist, or Emergency Binder) give estimates and organizing help, not official determinations. We do our best to keep information accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it's error-free or up to date for every state and situation.

Referrals and listings on the Partner & Referrals page reflect our own review of reputation and public information, not a formal background check, licensing verification, or guarantee of quality. Please do your own due diligence before hiring any provider we mention.

Your data and your tools

Most of our free tools save what you enter only in your own browser, on your own device, we don't see or store that content. Forms you submit to us directly (like registering interest) are stored securely and used only to follow up with you. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Accessibility

We want this site to work well for the people it's built for, including people with disabilities. We're actively working through accessibility improvements and don't yet claim full compliance with any specific standard. If something on this site is hard for you to use, please tell us, we take that feedback seriously and will work to fix it.

Limitation of liability

You the Winner and its founder aren't liable for decisions made based on information from this site, or for the actions of any third-party provider referred through it. Use of this site and its tools is at your own discretion and risk.

Cancellation, refunds, and if this service ever ends

For custom site work: once a stage of the site has been built and delivered, that portion is considered fulfilled and isn't refunded, whether you cancel or we ever discontinue the service. If that happens, we'll hand over everything built so far in a usable form (for example, a Word document with all the content, so nothing is lost even if the live site comes down). Any part of the work you've paid for that hasn't been built yet is refunded in full.

For subscriptions: if you cancel, or if we ever discontinue the service, any unused portion of a period you've already paid for is refunded, prorated to the day.

If we ever decide to discontinue You the Winner entirely, we will notify affected families directly and in advance, not go silent. We'll always tell you plainly what's changing, what you're owed, and what your options are.

We may update this page as the site grows. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
